Why Cybersmart? - connection to one-to-one devices, digital learning was a way we could support and empower or students
Cybersmart - acknowledges empowering people by being "smart". If we are encouraging them to connect online anytime anywhere it is our responsibility to support them to be safe and smart online.
Enables students to be confident and safe when connecting online
"It's about digital citizenship, it's about the do's and the don'ts".
Need to be confident with the Cybersmart language you are using.
Cybersmart learning is a whole school focus
Cybersmart empowers learners to connect with their learning
Involves images, media, text
Want our learners while they are at school to share in some shape or form - exploring the digital footprint.

The realisation that for you to participate online, you need to share personal facts about yourself to some extent.

ReplyDeleteIt was a great opportunity to try out the devices our students are using in their learning and better understand how they assist with their learning. Sharing personal things online is certainly something we need to put a lot of thought into to ensure we are following the CyberSmart curriculum. It becomes a great topic to discuss with students and you will be amazed at some of the things they come up with.
