 Manaiakalani Pedagogy - Ubiquitous Learning - Putting the learner at the centre of all decisions so educators have their best learning needs at the centre of all decisions.  - The idea that you are a learner anytime, anywhere.  - The ability to learn digitally out of school and not with the teacher sitting right next to you.  - Being able to leave the resources and be able to access valuable learning when teachers aren't in the classroom  - If learning is available online, it is rewindable for students  - Lock down showed that majority of learning was through a screen of some sort (device, tablet, TV etc).  - The tools of a student having a device and access to the internet is life changing.  - "If it's worth teaching and learning its worth capturing".   What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy? Empowerment - learners and teachers through the digital age. "The Maniakalani kaupapa of empowerment is about advancing Rangatiratanga: taking back control of their own lifes. Need to actively show teachers the power of a digital tool for their learners. Voice - choice - ownership: learning being exciting and engaging as if it isn't, students won't by in and complete it.
