Focusing on the CREATE aspect - "it's all about the hook" - engaging learners behaviourally but also cognitively Focuses on forming original ideas through exploration and discovery Creativity is a celebration! Giving the students something to do not something to learn Creative thinking is a goal in every aspect of life Creators of content not just consumers It's not about what you have/what things costs - it's about what you do with it
Manaiakalani Pedagogy - Ubiquitous Learning - Putting the learner at the centre of all decisions so educators have their best learning needs at the centre of all decisions. - The idea that you are a learner anytime, anywhere. - The ability to learn digitally out of school and not with the teacher sitting right next to you. - Being able to leave the resources and be able to access valuable learning when teachers aren't in the classroom - If learning is available online, it is rewindable for students - Lock down showed that majority of learning was through a screen of some sort (device, tablet, TV etc). - The tools of a student having a device and access to the internet is life changing. - "If it's worth teaching and learning its worth capturing".
